I andapos;ll go into the private sector and try and create a business, he said I had two years as a lawyer, some would say I was pretending to be a lawyer while I was campaigning for politics but I intend to go into the business world and see where that takes me

Mr Pyne also said there should be three criteria points for whoever replaces him in the seat of Sturt First of all, they have to be a person who knows how to campaign, who knows how to win the seat, Mr Pyne said Second, they have to be an effective representative of the eastern and north eastern suburbs of Adelaide That means it has to be somebody from the area who knows the area well and has known the area well for a long time And thirdly, they have to be somebody that can be a Cabinet Minister in the Australian government

Mr Pynes retirement also comes as Steve Ciobo, the Minister for Defence Industry, also announced his retirement from the Australian Parliament today I will not be recontesting the forthcoming federal election, he told reporters today It andapos;s a decision that I haven andapos;t arrived at lightly, a decision that has been spoken about and discussed for quite some time, a decision that I believe was the right decision The time andapos;s come for me to pass the baton on for someone else to put themselves forward on behalf of the Liberal National Party to be the next Member for Moncrieff That person, whoever it may be, will be a decision for the party membership, and I wish the membership the very best of luck
